This is probably beginners user error but for the life of me I can’t get autofocus to track on my new D850 isn’t the little red square in the viewfinder supposed to move as it stays with a subject. Mine stays frozen in the center though I can move it with the joystick. I’ve checked that the autofocus switch on the back is off and that it’s switched to AF-Continuous but no luck. Also have tried 3d tracking face detection to no avail. Any suggestions?

I have the exact same issue. Did you solve this as I'm pulling my hair out at the moment...
