I've downloaded the Nikon Win 10 wireless transmitter utility.

I've connected my Coolpix P900 to my laptop via a micro USB cable.

I run the utility which hangs on step 5 of 16; Set the camera's USB option to MTP/PTP.

I've searched the Internet and (I think) EVERY menu option on the camera.

If I press [Next] it says [camera connecting] for a few seconds then comes back to the above page so clearly the setting is wrong.

All I am trying to do is wirelessly link the camera to the laptop, can anyone get me over this step?

Regards Paul

I am not sure I understand...why would you connect the camera via a cable if you are trying to connect wirelessly?  That is probably at least a part of your issue...
