From that angle and in that bad light, it might be any of the D7xxx, D6xx or a D750.

To me it doesn't look like a DSLR, but an older Nikon F80

I'm with Peter. It's appears to be a mid-level body but beyond that, I don't have a clue.

It might be an F80, but the mode selector looks to be slanting and the shutter button doesn't look like it has a hole for the mechanical remote cable.

I'll revise my opinion. It is either a F80 or the F80-derived D100. Which it is hangs on if there are 6 or 8 settings on the mode selector. The F80 has PASM + CSM + ISO, the D100 has ISO, WB, QUAL and metering mode as well as PASM. There are none of the idiotic "creative" modes. The shutter button looks black, which would point towards it being a D100.

I saved the photo and opened it in LR, and did a little work on the image, the shutter button looks chrome and not black

better picture would help out since we see only on side of camera body.

Converting the image to B&W, I still stand my earlier comment of it being an older F80, a camera I've owned since 2000.
