Best case repair cost for D5100

The command wheel on my D5100 has quit working, and I'm trying to figure out whether it makes sense to send it out for repair. I see that I can buy a new D3400 body for about $350 - does anyone have any idea what the best case cost for a repair of this this type might be?

I'd suggest giving Nikon a ring...worst case, you could probably send it in for an estimate...
