Sometime before midnight (whatever time zone you are in) this Sunday, 12 November 2017, post the best photo you have taken this week. Any subject, any style—just give us your best shot.

If you can, list your EXIF info and any special lighting setups you may have used.

P.S. The editing exercises are taking a break at the moment, but feel free to play around in the old exercises.

P.P.S. Peter is running a fun single lens challenge that we are all invited to participate in. Look for the "One week, one camera, one lens" challenge.

Well, I am going to post some images in the one week, one camera, one lens section after the week is up.  I'm pretty happy with several of those images and hope to have some more over the next couple of days...

This shot was with a different camera and lens - specifically my iPhone...I've been pretty good at keeping my camera with me on my wanderings, but failed the one time I should have remembered...

Monday was a pretty busy and stressful day at work.  After I wrapped up work my wife suggested we go out for a short ride on the boat.  Temps were in the 70s (F) and it was supposed to rain and get colder later in the week.  So, we headed down to the boat and went out.  Of course, we were after the time change, so we knew it was going to get dark early...I turned the corner onto Broad Creek in time for my wife to grab a few phone pix as the sun dropped over the horizon.

We then turned east for a few miles enjoying the water, watching the birds and relaxing.  When we turned around the sun had lit up the clouds in a most spectacular way...we slowed to idle speed and spent the next 15 minutes watching one of the most beautiful sunsets (without the sun which had gone down earlier) that I have ever seen.  I honestly can't decide which of the photos that I took on my phone is my favorite, but I picked this one to share today.  It is straight out of phone with no crops or edits...

I will definitely have to go through these and try to choose a few...I don't think they will need much editing...maybe a slight horizon fix though!

That IS spectacular! Dadgum... And on your phone too. Nice.

I've been using my iPhone much more often than my Nikon for awhile now, and it does pretty well. We took a two-week road trip in October, and I think I only got my big camera out three or four times that whole trip--relied on my phone for just about everything.

My son has another custom motorcycle nearing completion so I took the opportunity to practice with my speedlight.  I know this isn't everyone's cup of tea, but I like this one.

I am standing camera right of the stairs that used to lead to the arrivals hall when the old station building was in use. From the stairs, the Bror Hjorth statue hides the chaos on BangÄrdsgatan and the castle in the background.

I am late. been busy here . I finally got the Ricoh VII fixed and calibrated. bought a Yashica 635 sent it out for a repair (broken shutter). The FM2 died (Shutter locked up)  so I sent it out as well. All are back and being tested. Sorry but I ended up using my K-S2 to shoot a charity Marathon  Sat morning. It is way smaller and lighter than my D200 with either of my Nikkor zooms, and I was going to be out walking part of the course while another photographer did the start/ finish line

This is my favoriteshot . . I had been called back to help with the awards shooting I got him as I was nearing the finish line .
