I will continue with the same lens, but on FX, so my combination for this week will be the D700 and AF-S Nikkor 14-24/2.8G ED.

If anyone else wants to shoot any single lens with me for a week, feel free to post what you get in this thread.

It’s raining here and since my only ‘weather-sealed’ lens is my 50/1.4, that’ll be my choice for the week!

Took Impy out hunting last night. Took the D610 and 50/1.4 too. So, just for a change, some extremely low-light, cloudy moonlight actually, shots.
Because it’s all hand-held, a tripod would slow us down too much, there are some compromises to be made. I have one of the User Settings set up for low light (the other is set up for high-speed action) which, basically, allows a shutter speed down to 1/40 sec and sensitivity up to ISO 25,600. I usually leave the lens wide open at f1.4. Even so, the camera will often not acquire focus and I have to guess at a manual focus setting. Sometimes it can work quite well, other times it doesn’t. Last night wasn’t great but here are a few...

Uppsala Central Station has traffic from three passenger train operators.

SJ is the national operator, SL run the local trains for Stockholm county and UL run the trains for Uppsala county. UL call their trains "Upptåget".

I didn't get out with the camera at all yesterday. Too hard light to do anything interesting during my lunch-hour and no contrast at all after work. It rained during the blue hour. November is a difficult month for shooting with an ultrawide as it is much more dependent on the quality of the light to get good photos.

This is five minutes of work, with the second image, in Snapseed. Well, you have to do something whilst you’re on the loo...
