I think I've just realised why you may have thought the moon moved!

Pictures taken from the focuser of a reflector scope will be reversed. I doubt if I've lined the camera up in the focuser, just plug it in and twist until comfy. That would be a different angle depending on the eq mount setting.

Well....I know it looks different between night and day from my view...you see different angles. I'm gonna just have to do a little study on this.
