Sometime before midnight (whatever time zone you are in) this Sunday, 22 October 2017, post the best photo you have taken this week. Any subject, any style—just give us your best shot.

If you can, list your EXIF info and any special lighting setups you may have used.

P.S. The editing exercises are taking a break at the moment, but feel free to play around in the old exercises.

P.P.S. Peter is running a fun single lens challenge that we are all invited to participate in. Look for the "One week, one camera, one lens" challenge.

Sorry I've been AWOL for the last few weeks! Traveling with iffy internet...

Thank you, Peter for picking up my slack.

I posted my TWO favorite pictures from a trip to Oregon the weekend of the 14/15th.

Mt Hood from Jonsrud viewpoint, Sandy Oregon:  Nikon d7500, Nikkor 70-200, 110mm, ISO 100, tripod, f/18,  bracketed around 1/60 sec.  Taken just after sunrise with the sun behind the Mt.  Composite of 5 HDR exposures.

Steel Head Falls, down river, Terrebonne, Or.  Nikon d7500, Nikkor 35mm prime, ISO 100, tripod, f/18,  bracketed around 1/00 sec, Taken mid morning. Composite of 5 exposures.

Nothing wildly exciting this week from me - just a quick phone photo I took while we were having dinner at a waterside restaurant.  Right by the restaurant is a small marina where lots of boats tie up overnight on their way north or south on the Intercostal Waterway.  On the opposite side of the marina is a commercial dock where we have occasionally seen boats tied to the dock 3 deep while dropping off their catch of shrimp and other seafood.

I know the sign is WAY overexposed, but not much control on a phone...it really is so "well" lit that it is hard to read at night with your eyes.  Oh well, the lighting on the boat was what I was hoping for...

I'm soooooo late to the game on this one. But since I rarely post anything anymore, I'm going to squeeze one in just to celebrate the fact that I had my camera out during the week of this challenge. Here's one from our big road trip:

I'm actually enjoying the 70-200 for landscapes...
