As Nicole hasn't posted a thread for this week...

Sometime before midnight (whatever time zone you are in) this Sunday, 15 October 2017, post the best photo you have taken this week. Any subject, any style—just give us your best shot.

If you can, list your EXIF info and any special lighting setups you may have used.

P.S. The editing exercises are taking a break at the moment, but feel free to play around in the old exercises.

P.P.S. Peter is running a fun single lens challenge that we are all invited to participate in. Look for the "One week, one camera, one lens" challenge.

This was supposed to be in a separate post, but I didn't wait long enough between posts.

Model: NIKON D300
Lens (mm): 85 (AF Nikkor 85/1.8D)

I used a strong polarizer from B+W turned for maximum effect on the lens.

Sorry I'm late.  My entry for this week is from a local air show on Saturday.

I second shot a wedding a few weeks ago. Because I just hand over the cards at the end of the shoot I never got around to looking at my own photos until this week. Picked out a few to process and added to my portfolio and I remembered these ones. Because I always shoot for an album, and want to tell stories with my photos I will often capture a pair of shots that go together. I was waiting around, chatting to the grooms men as the primary shooter was photographing them sign their marriage certificate and I noticed this heart shaped wreath, that was hanging behind them during the ceremony, made a nice frame.

Awesome work for this week's submissions! Wow...

Thanks, Peter, for getting this thread going. Sorry I couldn't get to it. I'm not sure where I was...somewhere in California, probably driving. :)

More road trip photos from me--still working on getting caught up here. We spent a couple nights in Monterey, which deserves so much more than a couple nights. I think it must be one of the most scenic parts of California's coastline. I had aspirations for making some great landscape images while I was there, and I lugged my tripod along to make some long exposures...only to find that I had left the plate somewhere back in Utah and there was no way to secure my camera to the tripod. Derp. So I made a few sunset shots and gave up. I really need to work on landscape composition, so I probably should have persevered. Oh well! Maybe I'll be back someday.
