Recently replaced my D3200 with a D3400 and have experienced really poor quality microphone performance on video. Anybody else had any issues? Were there any spec differences between the two models? What is the microphone quality of the D5600 like with music videos? Any microphone issues?

In camera mics are notorious for poor quality, especially in 'auto' mode. The included preamps are of poor quality as well. Consider picking up an external recorder (especially for music) and match its audio files up with the video in your editor.
