My combination for this week will be the D700 and AF-S Nikkor 35/1.8 ED again as last week was cut short.
If anyone else wants to shoot a single lens with me for a week, feel free to post what you get in this thread.

In response to Peter's cajoling, I will participate with the D810 and 85mm f/1.8.
I've got a "new" 50mm f2 AF (the older type with motor in the camera body) which I'll probably be taking out for a test run some time this week. Not sure I can guarantee to only use that one camera and lens though, I'll probably be taking a lot of photos for ebay listings etc. But here are links to some one-lens shoots I did recently as part of deciding which lenses I want to keep

Made me realise I definitely wanted a 50mm for the Nikon. I'll probably sell it on if I'm satisfied with the Nikon 50mm.

Keeping, unless something better comes along

Still undecided about this one

Just listed it on eBay - it's a good lens but it doesn't inspire me, and I prefer a 50mm as my wide aperture prime lens.
Nice! Really like the spiral staircase shot.
Took the 50 /1.8 (sorry, not f2, my memory is crap) out today and the results are pretty good. Really wish I'd thought to take extension tubes with me because I found some really nice but tiny lichens. Album here:
Wow Peter! You're really making up for lost time. I think the bicycle rack is my favorite so far.
As promised, here are some shots that show something of where I live. We're about 20 miles (32 kilometers) from the nearest town so these have a decidedly different flavor from Peter's. I took these yesterday but the day job got in the way before I could post them...

I will try to get out again this week, but my subject matter will be very similar unless I need to make a trip to town.
I'm with Sunshine. Love the bike rack picture. Sunshine, laughing at your archery target shot because our bows came out of the cases this week for the first time in several years. We're going to need new targets, not just maintenance!
Didn't get a chance to do any outdoor photos today. Except for the first two, these were all taken after dark and feature some of my wife's decorations and other items around the house. Click for larger view.
1. Learning to use flash to even out the bright sunlight outside but properly expose the features indoors.
2. There was too much ambient light to completely black out the background on this one.
3. Small statue that lives on top of my wife's piano. Starting to show her age. Or some dirt... Or both...
4. Old violin that also lives there.
5. Dried flower arrangement.
6. Small figurine on the mantle over the fireplace. I missed the focus on this one. Should have used autofocus.
7. A pair of sunglasses on a wooden table.
8. Lamp
9. Another lamp.
Thanks for the comments on the staircase and bike rack shots, my own favourite from that day is the hazy cathedral, iron bridge and the sun star from the windshield reflection.
Here are some from today's lunch break.
More from around the house and neighborhood. Click for larger view.
1. For those of you who dwell in more arctic climes and may not be familiar, this is an "air conditioner". It keeps the house cool on hot summer days.
2. Incorporating some suggestions from a previous post
3. Looking up the hill towards home
4. Took my best buddy and the camera for a walk
5. Beach grass against the evening sky
6. Don't know what these are but they're everywhere around the neighborhood
7. Street sign
8. Dead end
9. More beach grasses
10. Don't know what these are either but red catches the eye
11. Looks like I missed a sunset. Should have gone to the mountains...
This is my first posting on Peter's One week, one camera, one lens challenge. I have two new grand kids on the way so I wanted a nice prime lens. I bought a Nikkor 50mm f/1.4 G. That's my lens this week along with my D7200 camera (only camera I have). I'm going to start off cheating a little. The first of the two new grand kids was born last weekend. So the first couple pictures are from last weekend. The remainder are from a couple days in Milwaukee this week.

Some more to post when I have time. Not the best of the week, but my fave. My youngest shooting a bow for the first time and getting it dialed in. Nikon D5500 w/Nikkor 50mm f/1.8D.

Been so crazy around here we haven't been getting out to shoot much. We did a Painted Churches ride in Schulenburg, Texas last Saturday and I threw camera and a couple lenses in the Miggo. If you're ever in Texas, these are beautiful. Peter, Deano, et al if y'all ever get down this way we'll go for a ride. D5500 w/50mm Nikkor f/1.8D lens.
