Somehow I have changed a setting on my d3s body and my focus point will not light up. I always shoot single focus point. Any suggestions on how to get it back would be greatly appreciated.

Have you somehow managed to turn the AF-area switch to the Auto setting? In that mode with continuous AF, the focus point is not shown in the finder. Check pages 92 onwards a bit in the manual. I can't think of anything else.
