Sometime before midnight (whatever time zone you are in) this Sunday, 10 September 2017, post the best photo you have taken this week. Any subject, any style—just give us your best shot.

If you can, list your EXIF info and any special lighting setups you may have used.

P.S. The editing exercises are taking a break for the summer, but feel free to play around in the old exercises.

P.P.S. Peter is running a fun single lens challenge that we are all invited to participate in.

Oooh...I'd like to see that place in person. Someday! In the meanwhile I'll just experience it vicariously through your photos. Nice job, deano!

No stories this week.  I've got a few I like this time.  I think I'll go with this one.

I forgot to place a memory card in my D750 when I brought it out with us when we went berry picking. The time I didn't forget to, I didn't take any photos with it. Here's a couple I took with my Pentax K-3, DFA 100mm 2.8 WR combo.

My wife picking Crowberrys.

Did an urban ride with some friends in Houston Saturday morning. First time we've really been into the city since Harvey. Couldn't bring myself to shoot any photos of the devastation and suffering, everyone has seen enough. Went looking for beauty instead. On the way back we rode past a guy in his driveway working on an HO scale train landscape for his godson. I liked this shot with his miniature buildings silhouetted against Houston building/rebuilding in the background. Nikon D5500 w/ Nikkor 18-55mm VR @ 42mm. ISO 400, f 6.3, 1/400s. Will post a few more from the ride in single lens when I get a chance.
