Hi all!! i stumbled across this forum looking for a nice community to share my pictures with. I'm EXTREMELY new to photography but i've always had this weird itch for it! Did my homework and ended up buying a Nikon D3400 as my first DSLR. I've been over youtube and wikipedia for the past few days just learning things about iso, shutter speed, metering, aperture etc. 

 

Attached is the very first photo i took with this new camera of my neighbors overgrown tree in my backyard lol. Probably a little cheesy but i like it!! Looking forward to learning from you vets and getting more experience and a few more lenses!

Welcome to the forums, ddrwizard! That's lovely shot--very nice detail, and the light is quite nice. Looks like you're off to a great start with your D3400--which is a great camera! Good choice.
