Nice Peter!
I have three this week - technically the first two were shot on the 19th so I guess they should be posted for the previous week...We were running around quite a bit on Saturday and knew we were going to be busy Sunday as well, so while I had a few minutes, I grabbed my camera to get it setup for shooting on Monday. It was about then my wife came in and suggested I come out to see the rainbow...

After grabbing some shots of the rainbow, I did the work I had planned and got the camera setup for Monday. Then my wife suggested I come out to see the sunset...I went to see it - we do get some beautiful sunsets here, so not too unusual...Of course, my camera was definitely NOT setup for a nice sunset photo and I didn't want to miss catching this one...So, I pulled out my trusty phone...This shot is SOOP - Straight Out Of Phone with no crop or edit...
Yes, I could have swapped lenses back, but lenses and camera and I were in multiple different locations...I am pretty happy with that shot...In any case, I had setup my camera to shoot the eclipse on Monday. We were NOT in the path of totality, but we were all together out in our boat, on the water for a few hours during the eclipse which was our primary goal. My photography was secondary, but something I wanted to try. It worked out pretty well for hand holding my D4 and Nikon 70-200 on a moving boat - not moving fast, but drifting on some slightly choppy water...

I chose that one as that was about as close to totality as we got. Not great, but not too bad...just wanted to see what I could do with my options...Held the film-style eclipse filter on with the lens hood ! I had a few photog friends go to specific locations to shoot - one digital who got some GREAT shots and another who shot film - still waiting to see those...
Oh well...back to work!
