I rather liked the two dandelions and two bees, where one set is in focus and the other is not.  Curious what others think?

It sounds interesting... May we see it?

Appears I skipped a step in the process.  I think I got it this time.

Interesting idea, mostly well executed. I think I would have lowered exposure slightly to bring out more detail in the sharp flower, but this could easily be an artefact of the reduced bit depth for the web...

Another thing is that bees are fuzzy, wasps are shiny. These aren't either of those as they have two wings instead of 4, so they are some sort of Syrphidae (Hoverflies).

Thank you for your time and insights.

Wow, biology and photography all in one :), that is just awesome!

The real value of getting input is that it changes perspective.  I really liked the vibrant yellow color, but there is no question the detail of the flower is better with less light.

A bit less light, vastly improved image.

Sorry for the duplicate image.  I got an error message the first time and loaded it a 2nd.  Happy to delete one but not sure how.

It happens now and again. I think you can edit your post and remove the duplicate photo. It doesn't matter, though, as the post is perfectly readable without correction.
