I helped out a local make up artist who has just started up her own business get some promo photos. She wanted to show her work over a range of age groups. Which actually made for a bit of a challenge to find a lighting solution to suit all of them. You can light younger skin more aggressively than you can older skin. I wanted a typical beauty look. I tried my Octa box but the lighting was too soft and didn't have enough punch. I then tried it without the front diffuser and was still not happy with the results. Finally decided to use a regular 22" white beauty dish. And add a reflector underneath if I needed it, because despite their name beauty dishes can really accentuate skin blemishes.
I got a range of shots. And these are not the full selection. Just some of the better ones to work out. I made sure I got one with them looking down as I know make up artists like those as it shows off the work on the eyes. The make up is very natural, so it doesn't really stand out like a typical make up beauty shoot.
All shot with a D810 and Tokina 100mm f2.8 macro at f11, 1/125s, ISO 64. With a Godox AD600 in the beauty dish as a key light directly over the camera as close to them as I could get it. Some random Elinchrom lights that the studio has for the background. And I used a reflector underneath for the last shot only.

I did some more shots once we were done. Put a grid on the beauty dish and did some more moody, creative shots. But I haven't processed them yet.
Not a great deal of post work was done.... Well considering what could have been done. I certainly perfected some things. The first photo probably received the most attention just to perfect some things. But I wasn't trying to change anything. I might create a little something to show the changes made....
