Hi all, I'm new to Nikon forums, but just wanted to throw a question out there.

I'm looking for a good transparent waterproof cover for my D700 and D300. Ideally, it needs to fix on to the viewfinder and have an opening on the bottom, as I use a monopod fixed to my 70-200mm lens.

Any recommendations or links would be gratefully received, as my last cover broke and I can't find a replacement anywhere!

Thank you :-)

I use ThinkTank rain covers - excellent.

And I like their eyepieces so leave them on full time.

I use a Storm Cover.  Moose Peterson has endorsed them. Regardless, they're really good, and it fits over all of my lenses.

Check with Tom (TBonz). I don't remember what he uses, but they are, or at least were available for the D300 and D700 when he mentioned them. As a stopgap while you search for a permanent solution, OP/Tech rainsleeves work quite well and are cheap. I get mine here, the price in Sweden is ridiculous.

I have AquaTech for my 200-400...it is an excellent cover and I've used a Think Tank - not sure if it is the same model that Russ has.  I like both, but prefer the AquaTech - probably because I am more familiar with it.

For my 70-200 or 24-70 I would use the OpTechs that Peter mentioned.  In fact, I still do for all lenses other than the 200-400.  The OpTech shields are very inexpensive, can easily fit in a pocket and with a bit of care they are easily reusable for several times before you need to replace them...
