I am needing a good autofocus zoom lens for my Nikon D3200. My husband is a bull figure and I always VIDEO all of the bull rides. I then take the video and take pictures off of the video. During the daylight I have no problem getting crystal clear photos. As soon as the sun starts going down, it's a different story. I've changed everything I possible can in my camera settings to no avail. I always use a tripod or monopod.
Here's my question: What is a good auto focus zoom lenses for my D3200 that will help me get better quality video in low light, without costing a fortune?

Better than what? I'm going to assume the kit 18-55mm lens?

A good replacement for this lens is the Tamron 17-50mm f2.8 lens. They make two versions. One with image stabilisation (designated with a VC label) and one without. I've heard the one without produces a better image. But, as you say video usage is important, the VC version probably would have advantages. It can help keep your video image more stable.

I forgot. The advantage is being able to shoot at f2.8 aperture rather than f3.5 (on wide end) and f5.6 (long end).
