Great capture Jerry
In this picture looks like the camera did a great job but the tamron which is a good lens didn't keep up!
How many pics was out of focus?

Both camera and lens kept up to their specifications.

It was only when it was closer than 3 meters that it couldn't be properly focussed anymore (which is in line with the Tamron specifications for this tele zoom)

Maybe, but I have little means to check as this was taken a couple of months ago and the series underwent the usual culling and selection.

Edit:
Based on the sequential numbering of the captures, out of 10 (during which the eagle did a 90 degree turn) I have kept 6 after the selection process in this series. But I can't anymore tell why the 4 others were not kept.

I agree the Sony A9 is impressive but history has shown that technology is constantly changing, so I will stick with Nikon rather that having to change systems

The Sony A9 is impressive and as technology changes so do cameras. I will stick with Nikon and the lens format rather than change attempting to chase the latest new product.

That is true Markzap
From now on Nikon trying to keep their customers since Sony put a gun on their heads and I think they changed their selling strategy. .Every body will be happy
I'm so excited about the new Nikon d8whatever
But I can't wait for Sony Άλφα 8 for example
At the end we will have better cameras for less money
No more VICTIMS OF MARKETING
Good day

I have been a Nikon guy for the last 6 years. I started with the D5200 and currently working with the D750s. I don't see any reason to upgrade at least for the next 2 yrs. Amidst all the storm of Mirror less technology. I'm still happy with my dslrs and think there is a lot more left in them before I move on.DO check my work here : Wedding Photographer in Bhubaneswar | Manish Singh Photography
