Hello everyone,

I am new, I have a D3300

I plan on taking some pictures and blowing them up to say 24" or maybe even larger, and hanging them on my wall

Does it matter which format I take the pictures in, or save them in ?

Raw, jpeg, etc ?

Thanks !

Not really. Just make sure if shooting jpg it is not one of the reduced size options.

If you shoot jpeg you will need to experiment with the in camera jpeg settings to get the best, some owners use as much as +7 in sharpening, the idea is if you shoot raw you need to do the PP work yourself.

IMHO, unless you are press, shoot in RAW, then you will have all the info you need in the image to make changes. After which you can save to jpeg
