Hello guys!
Im quite new to photography and recently I started trying out astro photography. After some time I managet to set up my D5500 correctly to get nice, pretty sharp photo of night sky with a bit of milky way visible and stuff.
Problem occurs when I want to set it up to interval shooting so I can create a whole video out of it. With identical settings as for single photo the images get blurry, defocused.
My settings:
Manual mode, shutter speed 15-20 sec, f/6.3, ISO 6400, tripod, manual focus.
Check the attached files to see the comparision of single and interval image.
Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks,
Asrian

If the shutter speed is the same, you either need to open us the interval between automated shots or get a sturdier, better dampened tripod, head or both. It is quite possible that you don't need to adjust the interval much to get rid of these resonance artefacts. I suspect mirror slap is the culprit

I would use MUP, mirror UP to reduce shake and use a remote trigger. Otherwise, you are on with your settings.
