Barn find sort of that Kim fell in love with and named Wal-E. She's going to learn to overhaul a bike, and I'm going to get my first shot at a Sturmey-Archer internal 3-speed hub. Was trying out the single-lens challenge, so pics all shot with AF-P DX Nikkor 18-55mm VR. Haven't started figuring out post-processing yet, so monochrome was just done on the camera.

Nice subject, both for an overhaul and photographically.

The free, but abandoned Silver Efex Pro is easy to learn for monochrome conversions. It works really well as a stand-alone application as well as a plug-in if you use an older version of Lightroom or Photoshop. You can always do the basic raw editing in your favourite tool, export as a .tif and then open the .tif with SEP. I have a blog post about using SEP here: My way of using SEP effectively - NikonForums.com
