You mean for that particular image? What camera are you using?

For most of the recent Nikon's press the down key on the navigation button (i.e. The round button with the 'ok' in the centre on the rear of the camera)

For undoing it, press the same key again.

Correct. But, in my D5500 the default setting for Shooting Data in playback menu was "off", so I had to toggle it on to view when playing back images. Don't know if default is the same for other models.

The same feature exists when just viewing pictures on the memory card and scrolling through them with the left/right arrow keys on the same navigation button.

(While not having a camera at hand to check) I think that the playback option is to show for a few seconds the last picture taken.

Ok. Just tested on my D5500 with most recent firmware update. Turned off the shooting data in playback. With it off, I am unable to view any of the data on LCD, even if I try to scroll through with arrow keys immediately after taking the photo. All I get is date, time, and file number at the bottom. If I turn shooting data back on, then I get and can use the arrow keys to scroll through 3 pages of data. Lens, aperture, ISO, focus mode, EV, etc. Default on my camera was "off", I remember being frustrated I couldn't see the data. No idea about other models, but this is how mine was. Jerry, if you're talking about something else LMK.
