Hello guys,
I'm lost between buying a new Dslr 3000$+ (nikon d500 + lenses) which will take me a long time to buy, or a new Ipad Pro 12.9" (2nd generation) for 1300$ which is a bit easier to buy.

I have a Samsung Nx300 with an 18-55 lens and i cannot buy new lenses cause they are not available anymore.
I have a laptop and it doesn't support raw files and is slow => i just edit my photos on my smartphone (small screen).

Do you think i should buy a new Editing tool or new gear for better photos ?

Thank you

My first question is what this question has to do with support and suggestions for the site. You would probably get more response if you post in a relevant subsection of the forums...

My second question is what you intend to shoot with the new equipment. It might be that a cheaper option would suit your needs better.

Why the iPad for editing? A used Lenovo T-series or a Thinkcenter and screen don't cost much and they usually work until they are at least 7-8 years old without problems.

If you don't have the money, then you should look for alternatives.

Why looking for a 3000$+ camera? Will this generate some return? (i.e. will you be selling pictures)

Why looking for a 12.9" iPad for 1300$ ? What would you do with the high end version, if you are limited in what pictures you can take?

Why not looking f.i. for a used D7100 and a 10" iPad Air2?

All depends on available resources you have, needs (versus envies) and the return they can generate.
