Hello!
New forum user here, recently got a D750 that I am really enjoying using, for the first few weeks I had it (bought used, <1k shutter count - essentially new) it operated as expected; however, recently it has been having a focus issue.
I've got troubles locking focus at infinity.
When focusing at infinity in AF-A or AF-C I am unable to take a photo (shutter half press to focus). Sometimes with repeated presses I am able to take a picture. The digital rangefinder shows a > arrow despite producing in-focus pictures when I do get it to capture. When switching the focus mode to manual and setting the lens to infinity, the digital rangefinder still shows a > arrow, though the images taken are in focus. I experience this issue with most of my lenses (Nikon 35 F2 AF-D, Nikon 50 f1.4 AF-D, Tokina 28-70 F2.8 ATX-PRO etc.) regardless of their make. It seems to have sprung up out of the blue.. as it worked fine when the camera was purchased.
I tried updating the firmware and now have the most up to date version, though it hasn't changed anything.
Is there a way to remedy this? I have not tried to calibrate the camera to each lens and would prefer not to do this, as it affects native Nikon lenses as well.
Could this be an issue with the in-body electronic rangefinder?
*edit* for some reason the text background had adopted a color that made it difficult to view on some screens - have fixed this.
