I will use the D700 and Tamron 24-70 this week too as I did so little last week.

Shooting this way with the cheap zooms is interesting, but will probably be expensive in the long run. When I look at the EXIF for both the FX Tamrons, I end up using the extremes, 35 mm and 58 mm for most captures. I am beginning to see a 58/1.4 in my future, unfortunately.

I love it when fellow members of this forum post photos of their surroundings, it is a great way to see the word through their eyes.  And, how about that, a sweet '59 ford in Peters home town.

A '59 Ford in Sweden? I had one like, only red back in the day. We have an Uppsala here in Minnesota also, but I'm sure much smaller than yours.
