Need to dial exposure back a little to avoid blowing the red channel.

Putting some diffuser on the flash will also help reducing hot spots and softening the shadows.

This was totally my fault.  The day before I went out, I adjusted the presets and saturation in particular.  My error was that I neglected to dial the saturation back before going out.

Thanks very much for the info, I will certainly make not of it and use it in the very near future.

Rgds,

Tony
