D70 Focuses, doesn't shoot and rear screen wont turn on.

My beloved D70 of many years has begun acting up.

 

I was out shooting no problem at all until the shutter suddenly would not open. The camera auto focuses but pressing the shutter button down completely does not make it shoot. At the same time, the rear lcd will no longer turn on both menu and preview buttons do not work.

 

Please help!
