Hi:)

Got myself a new Coolpix B700 and still trying to come to terms with the many great features.

One of my big interests is macro photography - especially flowers.  Can't get the background to blur with any of the macro settings -  they all seem to be focused on infinity.  I know the principles involved - zoom right in with a low f stop  (wide aperture) and have tried in several modes to apply, but the f stop keeps changing, which seems strange in aperture priority mode.

Can anyone help with advice on how to lock the aperture, or any other method of forcing a very narrow DOF?
