I went to a concert last night.

The first band call themselves The Royal Mojos and play quite traditional blues.

The second band was The Full Nine Yards. They were difficult to shoot because their hard rock covers drive the audience to dance. Unfortunately, I didn't have an UWA with me.

I should add something about what I used to take these, and how I did it.

I used the D700 and a Tamron 28-75/2.8 for half the shots. The others are with the 105/2 DC. The first 5 are shot with the 105 wide open and DC @2.8R, the last 5 of the Royal Mojos series are the 105 wide open again with the DC in neutral. I was mostly at 1/40 and whatever ISO gave the correct exposure wide open. Everything was shot handheld. I should know better than to leave the 14-24 at home for an unfamiliar setting, but I didn't bring it. If I had it on hand, I would have been able to get close enough to capture more of the second set but it would still have been difficult as there was no buffer zone between the stage and the floor.
