How to get my P900 to use all the SD card

I have been using my P900 to take photos of the kids footy.  All seems to go along nicely but when I go to download the photos it seems the camera only has 200 photos.  Now the 200 photos take up 1.7gb and the SD card itself is 64gb so storage isn't the issue.  I emailed Nikon about it and was told where to go to decrease the image size which I don't think is the answer I was after.

How do I get the camera to use more of the SD card
