Hi.  I've recently bought a Nikon B700 to replace my L120 and am having battery problems.  A fully charged battery will go flat in 24 hours without the camera even being turned on.  It uses a Lithium Ion EN-EL23 battery pack.  I've turned off the wi-fi but I think turned on the GPS function.

Am I being a dumb newby or do I have a fault?

I am also having difficulty trying to link to my PC by USB cable.  I have the Nikon ViewNX 2 software which identifies my old L120 no worries but even Windows file explorer does not see my B700.   When I remove the SD card from the camera and plug it in using an SD card reader my PC sees it.   Thanks for any advice.
