Love it, would the prize be food related maybe, our Dobbie has that exact same expression at grub time  :D

You got it, mate. It was a piece of kibble. Otherwise, all I'll get is a portrait of him sleeping, or running around :D

OK, this one is going to take me a moment...

Sampson&Logan

That's Sampson and Logan - unfortunately Sampson passed away this past July, but I love the photo...

You all have seen Zeus - alias Photo Bomber before.  My oldest is in college and Zeus is mostly his dog:

But I had to brag and show the painting my wife did of Zeus for my son from the second photo above:

IMG 1533

Yes, he's a Great Dane and yes, he's cute and he's big, but he wasn't always big:

IMG 0332

He's always been cute though!  Last three pix were taken by my son with his iPhone...don't want to infringe on his copyright!

I shouldn't have come to this thread! I love all these photos, especially the dogs. Our mega dog yellow lab passed away a couple of years ago, and we've never replaced him. I just can't.....

All these dogs with their big, longing eyes are killing me.

Sigh...

Aw, that is so sad.  Why can't you get another?  You can never replace a pet but you can always give a new one a fab life.  Our Lass is turning 9 this year and sadly Dobbies don't make old bones but i just cant imagine not having a dog around the place after her.  Never had one from my childhood until we took her as a rescue 3 years ago and just feel i've missed so many great years with a faithful bag o fur.

I hope you do get another one day.

Keep Smiling,

Ian.

Honestly, I do think our dogless days are numbered. The loss of our Jack left such a huge dog-shaped hole in our hearts and lives that I haven't wanted to deal with the inevitability of that happening again. But more and more lately, my husband or I will spot a dog on a rescue page or at an adoption drive and start talking about getting another one. I'm betting it won't be long. Dog people are always dog people. :)

Those eyes!!!!! He's got the ultimate, droopy, longing eyes.

I'd love a big dog like a Great Dane. Go big or go home, right?

Nicole - don't have to be big to have those longing eyes...here's some small ones:

Those eyes worked on us...We'll be adopting her this coming Saturday, so you can expect to see some updated photos at some point!  Hopefully she gets along with Logan!
