I am having problems accessing the menu options on my P520 and am hoping that someone will be able to help me.

 

When I go into the menu and click on the 'Spanner' icon all I get is the Firmware version which is currently showing as version 1.0.  I know that there is a later version available but I don't think that it will solve my problem.

 

I have the original booklet that came with the camera and I also have a very comprehensive book on the camera written by Alexander S. White but, despite following the instructions to the letter I still cannot get at the 'date and Time and Format' options, just to name a couple.

 

Has anyone got any ideas please.  Many thanks.

I wonder if the menu options might be restricted if the camera is in the Auto or Scene modes? I haven't used a P520, but this is an idea. Otherwise, calling Nikon support and asking them might be worth a try.

You are absolutely correct, the menu option were indeed restricted and I have now sorted.  many thanks.
