Good afternoon everyone!

I have an issue with my Nikon D3200.

When shooting in auto mode, the screen says the subject is too dark. (I know, I should shoot in manual mode, but I would like to fix this because I use auto every once in a while)

The photos all come out overexposed as well, even in my room on a cloudy day.

I have tried:

-Resetting the shooting settings

-Changing lenses

-Looking inside the camera for potential debris blocking light

-Changing exposure compensation

I don't know what else to try.. maybe there's something on the sensor and it needs to be cleaned?

Does anyone have any tips?

Thanks!
