Hi, has anyone had trouble viewing and editing D500 RAW files? I have tried various programs including PSP X9 and apart from ViewNX2 only Capture NX-D can view and edit them.

Thanks

The D500 is pretty new and I am betting the other software you're trying to use has not been updated to render the raw files that it outputs. Until they do, consider using Nikon's software to export to tiff images you could then manipulate in other apps.

If you aren't allergic to Adobe Products, you can use their free DNG converter to produce DNG-s that PSP can handle without locking any parameters in by using a tif as an intermediate step.

I have been using DxO with my RAW files coming from the D500.

Which is the RAW format setting that you are using? I am using the uncompressed in 14bits. (See page 93 of the user manual) - to be checked if compressed formats work as well with various programs.

I see the D500 raw is supported by PSP X9 according to Corel website.  My Photoshop CS6 has no problem in opening D500 raw.

Photoshop CC and Lightroom CC have both recently been updated to support the D500... among other recently introduced or upgraded cameras.
