I snapped Steven Seagull on my neighbour's roof this morning on my Nikon D3200 and Tamron 70-300mm. I used -0.7 exposure compensation because it looked a bit over exposed. I also gave it -10 brightness and +5 contrast on Photoshop. It's made it look slightly sepia toned but I like it.
