It may not appear like it, but this scene was a challenge.  I tried different composition possibilities and this one seemed best suited. There appears to be some sharpening artifacts, so I went into the D70 and backed off what may have been excessive.  Quite a bit of noise to deal with, however I downloaded FastStones Image Viewer, tried their Noise Reduction and I have to admit, I am impressed with it.  It does the least amount of softening of the image of all the others I have tried.

 

Here is the recipe.  D70 body with AFNikkor 35~70mm non D Lens.

 

1/200s,f/8, ISO @ 200, Focal Length @ 70mm, no flash and used Multi-Segment Metering.
