I have a coolpix nikon 8800 and was wondering if anyone doctored up away to use the 8800 to take pics of the slides heard in reviews Nikon ES-E28 slide copying adapter for the Nikon Cool Pix camera doesn't do well. Others used a lite box since the es e28 wouldn't let you focus correctly also step- down rings, Any help is appreciated. Thanks Tom

If you can find a 28 mm female to 53.5 male stepdown ring, you might get it to work. I don't think such a ring has ever been made in production. It worked ok for producing files to put in a database to easier find the slides but expecting more from it is expecting too much. You will get far better results from the lowly Epson V500 scanner.
