Is it just me that thinks that there's something funny about the name of this lens?

Just end it with an e instead of an a and you have a gefilte fish eye...

Anyone else come across any product names that make you laugh or groan?

Not photographic, but there were these, in a deli in Far North Queensland.

The deli was called 'Taste on Macrossan' - if I'd had a pen, I'd have added 'Lack of' in front of it!

I always thought that the Japanese lenses for the Leotax name "Simlar"s was ironic considering the claims that post-war Japan "just copied" everyone else. The design of the 5cm F1.5 Simlar lens is a unique 1-3-2-1 seven element in four group design, the other manufacturers used 5 and 6 groups- more reflections, less transmission.

So- the most original post-war Japanese lens has a name that makes it sound like it is a copycat.

I'm a geek, what do you expect...
