Who's got one?
Thoughts?
I'd be using it on a D610

I had one and sold it. It has some CA and the focus throw is, strangely enough, longer than the Ai version. It is less prone to flare than the earlier non-ED versions as it is SIC-coated instead of NIC. The corners are nice and crisp and the distortion is manageable. It handles 24 MP well, but the D8xx bodies outresolve it.

The CA is easily corrected as it is pronounced enough that the removal doesn't rob the photo of detail.

Overall, it is a nice tele lens and easy to use even if the elusive ED non-IF and the ED IF are better.

Thanks Peter. Sounds good to me. The one I'm looking at is being sold as an ED AIS, it's the version that stops down to f32

That is the last version with 9 blades in the aperture and IF. It has the least amount of CA of them all and a nice, long focus throw that makes it easy to focus precisely.
