Untill i got the email today :(

The reason i vanished was due to me parting with most of my Nikon gear because age and health made it too heavy to take birding, kept my V2 and a couple of lenses so still have the right to call myself a Nikon owner.

I would have bought further into the 1 system but didnt feel any confidence about Nikons continued support for it,in the end i decided on m4/3,some of it has been a challenge to say the least  especially BIF but after nearly a year i am getting there.

A few samples.

I am at the moment looking to see what price the new Sigma 100-400 will be and if it will work on the V2 via the FT1,most of the current Sigmas do.

I don't understand your statement on Nikon allegedly not supporting current cameras. I have a Nikon F and two Nikkormats from the 1960s and they still work fine. I have more modern Nikons, too, but favor film photography (digital images are ephemeral, after all) so I use the older Nikons a lot.

I think Mike's doubts about the future were about the CX format, not DX or FX.
