I plan to migrate NikonForums.com to a new, faster server tonight (around midnight US central time).  Once the migration starts, the old site will be closed.  Once the site re-opens, you'll know it's running on the new server.

 

This process should only result in minimal downtime, but it may take up to 15 minutes (or even as long as 24 hours in extreme cases) for your browser to start opening up the new site.

 

Once we are on the new server, HTTPS support will be added so that you can log in and browse the forum securely.

I am seeing some issues with the TapaTalk integration after the move. While I appeared to be logged in, I see no entries under New, Unread, and Participated. I tried logging out and logging in again but can not login with TapaTalk (Network error; login | Nikon Forums).

The only difference I'm seeing is the speed. Much faster for me.

I have to kill the advertisement boxes before making a post. The ad boxes "spin" waiting for content, as they do the editor stalls.

 

This has been a problem over the last few days, suspect it is with the advertiser's site.

 

I'm using Chrome and Win7 sp1.

Perhaps this has nothing to do with the migration but the site has been really slow today (March 5th).

Posting, drop down of notifications, pop-ups for "follow this topic" for instance.

I'd thought it I'd mention it.

I noticed a slow-down this morning, but it seems to be back up to speed now.
