Slim Pickins this week! Stuck inside fighting the flu...

 

And when I am stuck inside, I take apart lenses.

This 1960 Jupiter-12 3.5cm F2.8 is a copy of the Zeiss Biogon, made for the Contax II and III. To work on a Nikon: the optics have to be moved forward in the mount, and the bezel around the bayonet mount needs to be filed down. That's a first-batch Nikkor-SC 5cm F1.4 from 1950 sitting next to it, it the J-12's rear lens cap.The camera is a very early Nikon S2, the 219th made.
