DOES VIEWNX 2 OPERATE IN AN APPLE MACBOOK AIR???

Almost certainly: yes

I have used ViewNX2 on different Apple hardware (not the MBA) and with different versions of OSX without any problem.

To have however a more precise answer, can you please indicate what version of the MBA it is and what version of the OSX it is running on.

Finally you might want to check, if your camera is a recent model and you will be shooting in RAW, that your version of ViewNX2 is supporting that version of Raw files (JPG should be no problem) - this has however nothing to do with the hardware.

The last version that is officially supported is 10.10.2 so if you have El Capitan or Sierra it will probably not work. ViewNX-i and Capture NX-D are free downloads and are finally more or less updated so they work on Sierra.
