Too much sky. Horizon doesn't appear level. Background too hazy. The house looks awkward in the shade with the yellow hill getting all the sun behind it. Try a different time of day to shoot this scene.

I'm not sure that less sky will do this photo better, but tomorrow I will tyr it. I will post here the result, if you dont mind to discuss it. And thank you for comment.

I agree K-9 too much empty space leads the eye away from the main focal point, and for some reason the mountains look like you say hazy. A lovely scene though. :)

Not sure about less sky but may be a bit less  (don't know know if you use one of those photo retouching like lightroom or other) But I would try to give more contrast to the sky, but overall

like it a lot !

Cheers

Totally agree with K-9 Way to much sky, the house looks quite bland with no shadow or colour variation

take K-9's advice and shoot this during a different period of the day..  crop the sky and wow what a shot

Everyone is complaining about the sky! :) I wouldn't say there was if too much sky if there were some interesting clouds in the photo.

I really like the old buildings and fence, but agree that they get lost as a subject. The eye is naturally drawn to the brightest part of the photo, which happens to be the mountain on the right (for me, anyway--that's where I keep finding my gaze).

Is there a different angle that might give a more interesting foreground or some leading lines into the structures?

Where is this, by the way? It's lovely.

This is Russian Caucasus place near the Karachay Gil-Su. This photo was taken in time of our climbing Elbrus. So I couldn' choose the time of shot and also I don't when I will visit this place again, so now I can just try to change the photo that I have with post-processing.

I agree, it there were some clouds in the sky that woud add some interesting contrast. I would maybe try getting closer to the building or try from a vantage point looking slightly down on the house into the vallry below with the hills in the background. But in the end it's what makes you like your own photo.

That framing might work if you could bring up the light in the foreground and on the house...otherwise, if you have more ground in front, putting in more ground and less sky would probably lead the eye to the house better...
