Orange or washed out photos?

Beginner here and this is my first post!

Thought I had got the hand of my new D3300 over the past couple of months but yesterday and today I'm completely lost.

On Auto mode flash doesn't really fire like it used to, with photos appearing dark and orange. When the flash does fire the photos become washed out. Tried on different settings by changing the ISO and WB but still can't get it to act like it used to.

I've tried it on P, S, and A to force the flash to fire but it's intermittent and fires only when it wants to?

Reset settings by going onto the setup menu twice now but nothing. Not sure what's gone wrong.
