Hi. I've got an issue with my D750. When shooting in manual mode, the shutter speed will not stay put. This is a real problem when I'm shooting flash. I'll put the D750 in manual, set the shutter and aperture to (for example) f5.6 and 1/200. Everythings fine, I take the shot, good exposure. But then immediately after the shot, the shutter speed will jump to another setting, entirely randomly without me pushing any button. So after that first properly exposed shot, the shutter speed might have jumped to, say, 1/800 or 1/4000 or 1/2500. If I don't reset it to a proper flash sync speed, i lose the shot.

Am I missing some setting here to keep the shutter speed locked in place?  Or does this sound like there is something wrong with the camera? I've checked the manual and don't see anything obvious that I might be doing wrong

Thanks!

Do you have bracketing engaged? BKT sometimes does screwy things in Manual on some bodies.

As Peter said I would think you have accidently engaged bracketing mode. It's easy to do and when you do, there are few clues that you have done it.

If it's not auto bracket... I'd check to make sure that AUTO ISO isn't engaged.
