Does anyone have experience with the 35mm f/1.4 Nikkor-N.C Auto (the 7-bladed version of that classic lens) versus the 9-bladed iterations?

I've been looking for one and was considering purchasing a 7-blade copy that's being sold for less than I've seen the 9-bladed versions go for. I'm worried that the bokeh when stopped down to 2.0 or 2.8 would be less-than-stellar, though — my primary application will be 'portraits' of natural features that I want to isolate from their back- and fore-grounds.

The early 9-bladed version is one of the radioactive Nikkors that need to be used lots to not go yellow over time. The 35/1.4 is one of the few where I like the Ai-S better in spite of the shorter focusing throw. It is a bit less temperamental when stopped down slightly than the N•C, K and Ai and doesn't go yellow like the N. The bokeh is still good, but the transitions are a bit unpredictable compared to the 9-bladed versions.
